Default Mozart in America prior to 1791

The Mozart Society of America received an inquiry from an interest man in England asking if there was evidence of Mozart being performend in America prior to Mozart's death in 1791. It was passed to me for an answer and I have not been very successful.

I spoke to the extent of my knowledge on the matter, which is not very great, though I did investigate the holdings of the Moravian libraries in Bethlehem, PA and Winston Salem, NC, finding nothing there. A lot of Bach and some early Haydn, but no Mozart.

I also reviewed a paper given in 2001 about "Mozart: America's Waltz King" which argued that Mozart's waltzes were the most popular in Amerca, this despite the fact that he never wrote any. But almost anything in 3/4 or 3/8 time (even things not by Mozart) were credited to him as, for example, "Mozart's famous Ice Skating Waltz." However none of those earlier than 1800 are known to exist.

Is there someone on this list who might have knowledge of a performance of any of Mozart's music in America prior to 1791?
